www.craigslist.com

Okay, so lately I have become
obsessed with Craigslist. I admit it, I'm an addict!! I had never really even heard of it but then my husband informed me that I could get really good local deals and search for just about anything. Then I heard from my sister that she often sells stuff on Craigslist and get fast cash, easier and better than EBay since everything is local you don't have to ship anything!

Hmmm...so I decided one sunny day to put Aaron's cradle swing for sale on there. So I typed up my little ad, downloaded a picture of the swing, and less than 5 minutes later I had 4 people email wanting the swing!!
Since then I have had a lot of luck getting stuff sold, and it's so much easier than having a yard sale! I've even gotten some good deals on stuff like baby formula!
So today I decide to dig out Lilly's old play mats that she never really used and that Aaron didn't like and I was going to take some pictures of them to put a listing up for them. And what happens??? My kids decide they LOVE them and play with them ALL day!!
I guess I'll have to wait until another day to continue my obsession and sell this stuff and my beloved craigslist!!

Our Backyard...

YEAH, YEAH, YEAH!! We have sprinklers!! For those of you that are homeowners you can appreciate our joy!!

We are finally gonna have a backyard with beautiful grass so our kids can run and play!!

After hours of digging trenches...thank you Grandpa Flores. And 100's of feet of PVC pipe...thank you Papa Chavoya...we finally got the water flowing this week!

Of course we still have SO much more work to do, we have a lot of plans for the backyard. We still need to fill the trenches, level and work the soil, lay down sod, make a play area for the kids w/ a swing set from grandma & papa, landscape the flower beds and buy tons more bushes and flowers.

All the hard work will be worth it in the end! We are looking forward to the day we can have a big family BBQ and have all the kids laughing and playing in our yard!!!!

Easter 2008

Super cute princess Lilly, looked beautiful in her dress, but for the second year in a row would not hunt for Easter eggs!!

Aaron's first Easter, such a fun and memorable one to be the first!!
It was also Baby D. Ollin's first Easter, we were honored to spend it with him!!
Our precious Ivan, in his realm of running free and getting loads of candy!

This Easter was different from all the others for so many reasons. I spent my first Easter without a super traditional ham dinner with my parents & sister, but my mom did not want to cook this year and my sister spent her Easter with a friend with cancer. The Flores family spent their first Easter without Mamy Chayo, which was heartbreaking. But we did end up having a wonderful time and we were all happy to spend time with family. It was a day full of love (except Jacob & Monique)LOL...sorry Tia Sandra!

Flores Face or Chavoya Face...you decide...

Every time Aaron makes this face Gerardo & I argue over where this face comes from. I say it's a "Mad Flores Face", but Gerardo insists that it's a "Chavoya Face"!
I say it's Flores bcuz it looks like a face that Ivan makes too, but Gerardo says it's a face that I make!!
Maybe we'll never know...but I do know that it's super cute mad or not!! hee-hee!!

He's on the Go...

Well the day has finally come...Aaron is officially mobile!! He has pretty much mastered the whole crawling thing & does it with great finesse!

The problem now is that Lilly can't get away from him! And Aaron can get his hands on all of his sister's toys...which she hates. She's been screaming "Mommy, come & get Aaron!" all day long!

So as much as we hate it, times goes on and on and on. They grow so fast and the time just flies by! Lilly will be starting preschool this year, Jacob's almost in middle school and next thing you know Aaron will be in school too.

I remember I couldn't wait for Aaron's first smile, then roll, sit up and clap. Now he's off and crawling, I guess I will enjoy this fleeting time before he learns to walk. I just want to tell my little baby to take his time, for a while he is little and he is mine.

Lilly loves The Little Mermaid. She watches the movie over and over again. She knows all the words and sings all the songs.

It's so funny to hear her sing all the songs. She even does the movements that the characters do.

I knew that we HAD to meet Ariel when we went to Disneyland. We had to stand in line for about 20 minutes but it was sooo worth it.

Lilly's face just lit up when she saw Ariel! You could tell in her little eyes that she could not believe that she was seeing the mermaid in real life up close & personal! She couldn't stop looking at her.

It was one of the cutest things that I have ever seen! Lilly's reaction to Ariel was so priceless. You can see in this picture the love she has for her mermaid.

Lilly loves to look at the pictures and say "Lilly and Pretty Mermaid Ariel". So cute!!

God hath not promised

Skies always blue,

Flower strewn pathways

All our lives through.

God hath not promised

Sun without rain,

Joy without sorrow,

Peace without pain.

But God hath promised

Strength for the day,

Rest for the labor,

Light for the way.

Grace for the trials,

Help from above.

Unfailing sympathy,

Undying love.
